Summary
- In addition to the federal equal opportunity laws, an Iowa employer must comply with state and local law, including the Iowa Civil Rights Act. See Disability Discrimination in Iowa.
- The Iowa Civil Rights Act of 1965 established the Iowa Civil Rights Commission, which promotes the elimination and minimization of disability discrimination in employment. See The Iowa Civil Rights Act.
