Most employers have many responsibilities under the Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Act. The reason for this is, quite simply, to keep the work environment clean, healthful, free from serious hazards and above all, safe for all who work in it.
A safe workplace is one that has few employee workplace-related illnesses and injuries and as a result, fewer missed days of work. When employees work in a safe environment, productivity improves.
