  • There is no general statutory obligation on employers to provide or finance vocational training for their employees. (See General)
  • There is a system of apprenticeships, whereby individuals receive practical on-the-job training at an employer's premises and theoretical education at a vocational training centre. Apprentices are not considered to be employees. (See Apprenticeships)
  • Employers with 10 or more employees are required to provide skills training to students attending courses at vocational educational institutions. (See Student training placements)
