Develop a California Workplace Violence Prevention Plan (WVPP) Checklist

Author: Brightmine Editorial Team

When to Use

California requires covered employers to establish, implement and maintain a detailed, site-specific and effective written workplace violence prevention plan (WVPP). An employer may incorporate the written plan as a standalone section in the written Injury and Illness Prevention Plan (IIPP) or maintain it as a separate document.

An employer can use this checklist to develop a compliant WVPP. The procedure is generally sequential, but some steps may be completed concurrently.
