Summary
- Covered employees must be paid overtime for all hours worked in excess of 40 hours per week. See Computing Overtime.
- Certain employees may be paid overtime for hours worked in excess of 52 hours in a workweek, rather than the usual 40. See Alternative Work Periods.
- State employees may choose to take compensatory time off instead of monetary compensation for overtime, as long as certain conditions are met. See Compensatory Time.
