Summary

  • Alaska requires entities to notify residents of the likelihood that their personal information has been subject to a data breach. See Data Security Breaches. 
  • Alaska has adopted the Uniform Trade Secret Act. See Trade Secrets.
  • Under state statutes, residents must be promptly and appropriately notified of any breaches of data that includes private information. See Breach of Security Involving Personal Information.
  • Alaska has established very few gun control laws. Permits or licenses are not required by the state to carry a concealed weapon. See Guns and Weapons in the Workplace.
