Note
On 28 June 2024, the National Congress passed the Law of Bases and Starting Points for the Freedom of Argentines (Bases Law), which became effective on 9 July 2024. As the Bases Law results in comprehensive changes to the Argentinian labour regime, it will take some time to update the guide accordingly. As a result, this guide is currently under review in relation to the Bases Law. See Argentina: Updates – key employment law developments > Extensive new labour law reforms for an outline of these changes.
