The 7 June 2026 deadline for transposing the EU Pay Transparency Directive (2023/970/EU) has now passed, but there is still lots of legislative activity across the union.
Generally speaking, many member states appear to be tackling simpler or more familiar obligations first while leaving more complex requirements for later. Early activity also suggests a divergence in approach, with some countries adopting stricter or broader implementation, while others raising concerns about the administrative burden of the Directive.
