When to Use
A global diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) mission statement affirms the organization's commitment to DEI and outlines the role DEI plays in its organization. An organization's leadership, in partnership with relevant stakeholders, should create and adopt a global diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) mission statement to communicate the organization's position on DEI, guide its DEI strategy and support alignment across the business.
A global DEI mission statement is not required by law. An employer should consider implementing this mission statement to support an inclusive culture and accurately represent the organization's approach to DEI.
