Summary
- There are several types of leave that may be available to an employee in Nebraska. See Leaves of Absence.
- Nebraska does not have a state family and medical leave law applicable to private employers. See Family and Medical Leave.
- Nebraska encourages employers to grant paid leaves for bone marrow donors. See Bone Marrow Donor Leave.
- An employee must be allowed two hours of leave time to vote and cannot be penalized for taking the time, subject to limited exceptions. See Voting Leave.
- An employer may not terminate or otherwise discriminate against an employee who misses work to serve as a judge or clerk of an election, a precinct or district inspector, a canvassing board member or any other election worker. See Election Official Leave.
