When to Use
Information based on key performance indicators (KPIs) can help an organization meet critical success factors and long-term business goals, but the data provided needs to be reviewed and analyzed to provide benefit. Evaluating HR KPIs on a regular basis enables HR to provide concrete data to organization leaders on the success of its people strategy and to share actionable information to alert them when adjustments are needed to keep the organization on track to achieve its goals.
An employer can use this checklist to work through the process of reviewing, analyzing and reporting HR KPIs. The procedure is generally sequential, but some steps (such as gathering additional information and input) may be completed concurrently.
