Summary
- California's discrimination employment laws are generally more expansive than the federal statutes. See Discrimination Under Fair Employment and Housing Act.
- FEHA contains a more comprehensive list of prohibited unlawful employment practices than the federal statute. See Discrimination Under Fair Employment and Housing Act.
- Along with FEHA, California prohibits discrimination under other laws, such as the Unruh Civil Rights Act, and laws covering crime victims, volunteer emergency responders and public employers. See Other Laws Prohibiting Discrimination.
