Summary
- Michigan's employment discrimination laws are generally coextensive with their federal counterpart, and therefore look to federal courts for guidance. - ELCRA contains other prohibited employer practices not contained in the federal statute. See Discrimination Under the Elliott-Larsen Civil Rights Act (ELCRA); Protected Classes Under the ELCRA.
