Summary
- District of Columbia employers are not required to provide life insurance benefits. If life insurance benefits are provided, certain requirements must be met. See Group Life Insurance.
- Employees are entitled to a minimum grace period for any premium due, except the first. See Grace Period.
- Employees have the right to convert a group life insurance policy to an individual life insurance policy under some circumstances. See Conversion Rights.
