Summary
- In Alaska, employees must be paid overtime not only when they work more than 40 hours in a workweek, but also when they work more than eight hours in a workday. See Overview.

- Alaska law authorizes flexible work hour plans that do not require payment of overtime if they are voluntary and do not require work of more than 10 hours per day (such as four work days of 10 hours each). See Flexible Work Hour Plans.
