- With the exception of nurses and very small employers, Montana law does not comprehensively address union organization and labor relations for private employers. See Private Employers and Employees.
- Montana law protects from union interference very small businesses which own retail or amusement establishments and who employ only the immediate family of the owners. See Very Small Employers.
