How to Respond to the Filing of a Grievance by a Union or Employee

When employees believe they have been wronged in some way by their employer, they may file a grievance in accordance with the governing collective bargaining agreement. Grievances may be minor, but may also raise issues of significant concern in the workplace. Employee grievances occur in nearly every workplace, and thus handling them properly and efficiently is critical to maintaining a productive work environment.
