- There is no statutory obligation on employers to provide employees with vocational training, and employees have no statutory right to training. (See General)
- Apprenticeship schemes, which combine on-the-job practical training with attendance at a technical education course, are regulated by legislation and administered and overseen by the Office of the Director of Apprenticeship. (See Apprenticeships)
- Under the public Youth Employment and Training Programme (YETP), school leavers aged 15-24 inclusive may undergo on-the-job training with an employer. (See Other training schemes)
