Summary
- Both indirect and direct discrimination are explicitly prohibited in access to employment on a wide range of grounds. (See Discrimination)
- There is no general statutory regulation of job advertisements, but they must not be discriminatory on the statutory prohibited grounds. (See Advertising vacancies)

- The employment of children who are under the age of 15 is prohibited and the employment of individuals aged 15 to 18 is subject to special rules. (See Young people and children)
- Foreign nationals are generally required to have a work approval to be employed in Romania unless they are citizens of the EU member states, the other European Economic Area countries or Switzerland. (See Foreign nationals)
