When to Use
Employers should be very protective of its intellectual property. It should make sure that all employees are aware and understanding that any idea, concept, invention or any other form of intellectual property created for the employer belongs to the employer, not the employee. This concept should be expressed through a written Intellectual Property Policy. Employers can use this form to express to new hire employees and independent contractors that all work-related creations belong to the employer and to gain acknowledgment that the potential employee, employee or independent contractor has received a copy of the policy and understands it.
