Immigration Policy

When to Use
An employer with an immigration program should consider implementing a written policy setting out its internal process for sponsoring individuals to work in the US. The policy should outline the employer's position on sponsorship and the employer's and employee's obligations (e.g., expenses each will pay). A written policy helps clarify the employer's position and internal process.
An employer should communicate its immigration policy to employees, including those responsible for implementing the immigration program, at the commencement of employment, and ensure that these individuals acknowledge their receipt and understanding of the policy.
