The DHS has proposed a rule that would require certain nonimmigrant employees whose employment has ended to depart the US immediately unless they have separate authorization to remain.
The Department of Homeland Security said the fee is needed to "generate dedicated revenue to support the costs of administering the lawful immigration system."
