Remote Work Policy
Author: Eric Meyer
When to Use
Remote work is a form of flexible work that allows employees to work from an off-site location. Employers offering remote work may choose to allow employees to work from any location, or from their homes. Remote work has known benefits, such as reducing overhead expenses, better employee attraction and retention, and improved employee productivity.
Employers are not legally required to offer remote work or maintain a remote work policy. However, an employer may consider implementing a written policy to help employees understand the circumstances under which remote work might be an option and the parameters of such an arrangement.
