Introduction
Employee handbooks are a persistent feature of the working world, an item so engrained in workplace culture it can evoke images of a coffee-stained shirt or the proverbial water cooler. However, despite their seemingly humble nature, employee handbooks are complex documents that cover a vast assortment of items such as benefits, compliance, and organizational values. In this survey report, HR & Compliance Center explores the critical field of employee handbooks, including handbook creation and revision, distribution, approaches to multi-jurisdictional compliance, challenges, and resources.
