Summary
- Kentucky law regarding hours worked is, for the most part, consistent with the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). Accordingly, employers should consult the federal standards when calculating the hours worked by employees.
- However, Kentucky law imposes meal and rest break requirements not found in federal law. See Break Periods.
