- Employers in Hawaii must excuse employees from work to serve on a jury. See Employers Obligated to Provide Leave.
- All employees in Hawaii are eligible to take time off from work to serve on a jury. See Employees Qualified for Leave.
- Employers are not required to compensate employees for time spent on jury duty. See Compensation During Leave.
- Hawaii law protects an employee's job when the employee serves on a jury. Employers cannot terminate, demote, lay off, penalize, threaten or coerce an employee because of jury duty leave. See Prohibited Actions.
