Summary
- Statute provides that employers must provide training, and employees are required to participate in various forms of prescribed training. (See General)
- If an employer conducts vocational training, the employer may be able to apply for a government subsidy. Repayment agreements for training expenses are valid if the costs are genuine training expenses and the agreement does not unjustly compel the employee to remain in employment. (See Training costs)
- There is an apprenticeship-like "work-study dual system" in which companies hire workers for a limited period and provide them with training based on prescribed standards. (See Apprenticeships)
