When to Use
Employers should consider implementing a written safety training policy as an essential component of their workplace safety programs. Implementing a solid training program for the work environment is foundational to safety and compliance. In fact, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requires detailed safety training in over 100 of its current standards, and a written policy can help convey these requirements to employees, demonstrate the importance of hazard awareness and employee safe practices and display an employer-wide commitment toward fostering a strong safety culture through training.
