Summary
- While private employers are not required to take affirmative action in employment practices under the Florida Civil Rights Act, certain requirements must be met if a private employer voluntarily implements an affirmative action program. See Private Employers.
- Florida employers may provide a hiring preference to honorably discharged veterans and the spouses of veterans with a service-related disability. See Veterans Preference.
