Summary
- Maine does not have any statutes or regulations that directly address many common working time issues such as waiting time. See Overview.
- With some exceptions, employees who work for more than six consecutive hours must be provided a 30-minute rest break. See Break Periods.
- Nursing mothers must be provided break time to express breast milk. See Break Periods.
- Maine also has day of rest requirements. See Day of Rest.
