Summary
- Minnesota law includes a number of definitions of independent contractors that are similar but not identical to the definitions found under federal employment laws. See Determining Whether a Worker is an Employee or Independent Contractor.
- There are certain classes of workers that are automatically classified as employees or nonemployees under various Minnesota statutes and regulations. See Statutory Employees and Nonemployees.
