Summary
- Adverse employment action in retaliation for opposing discrimination under the Montana Human Rights Act, or for participating in related proceedings, is prohibited. See Retaliation Under the Montana Human Rights Act.
- Public employers are additionally prohibited from retaliation regarding an employee's political beliefs. The State of Montana may not retaliate or discriminate on the basis of sexual orientation and additional protected traits. See Public Employers.
