Summary
- Under Maine law, employers with 15 or more employees must provide sexual harassment training to all employees within the first year of employment. See Sexual Harassment Training.
- Under Maine law, employers must provide safety training to employees who operate a video display terminal for more than four consecutive hours. See Video Display Terminal Training Law.
- It is always a good practice for an employer to train its employees with respect to the organization's policies and procedures. See Other Training.
- Maine has a registered apprenticeship program for apprentices to receive on-the-job training. If approved by the DOL, employers may pay apprentices less than minimum wage. See Apprenticeship Training.
