Summary
- All Vermont employers covered by the Vermont Workers' Compensation Act are required to post specific notices in the workplace. See Notice Requirements.
- Workers' Compensation is the exclusive remedy for personal injury, illness or death of an employee from a work accident or occupational disease in Vermont. All employers, with few exceptions, are required to carry workers' compensation insurance. See Covered Employers.
- Nearly all employees are covered by workers' compensation, with a few notable exceptions. See Covered Employees.
- Injuries and occupational illnesses arising out of and in the course of employment are compensable. See Compensable Injuries.
