Webinar: Employee Mental Health and the Americans with Disabilities Act
Mental illness is one of the leading causes of disability in the United States. With approximately 1 in 5 U.S. adults experiencing mental illness each year, there is a strong chance employers will encounter situations involving employees with mental health issues.
This has been especially true with the multitude of social, health and political challenges all around us, leading to 76% of surveyed employees in 2021 reporting at least one symptom of a mental health challenge, compared to 59% in 2019.
Complying with requirements of the Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA) can be a fundamental step in addressing and supporting the needs of an employee's with a mental health disability to enable them to be productive.
