When to Use
Employment verification letters are used to confirm an individual's current or past employment with an employer. While verification of employment requests may come from different sources, for example, lenders, landlords, government agencies, prospective employers and even the employee directly, they typically try to verify an individual's dates of employment, employment status, job title and salary. Some requests for employment verification may ask for additional information such as an individual's job history and information on job performance.
Employers may use this letter to respond to a request to verify current or past employment.
