New York City Sexual Harassment Prevention - Employee Training
Author: Brightmine Editorial Team
New York City requires employers to provide sexual harassment prevention training to employees. New York City's requirements build upon New York State's training laws and regulations. However, New York City requires certain training content modules that are not required by New York State.
An employer that operates both inside and outside of New York City may choose to offer the New York City-compliant training to all employees. In addition, an employer is free to provide more frequent, additional or comprehensive anti-sexual harassment training than that required by law.
While this training specifically addresses the needs of a New York City employer that meets the law's applicability requirements, an employer that is not covered under the New York City law may customize the presentation in order to meet compliance needs and organizational goals related to sexual harassment prevention.
