Recruitment and Selection 2023: Survey Report
Introduction
The need to retain top talent is the driving force behind many HR initiatives. Effective recruitment practices form the foundation for this, connecting hiring managers with candidates who have the skills necessary to perform well in a role.
Although employee retention is affected by many factors, ineffective recruitment and screening processes can lead to issues down the line. Hiring managers may become dissatisfied with the outcome of a job search, or a new hire may find that a role does not fit them as well as expected.
In this survey report, we explore the relationship between common recruitment practices and retention outcomes. Additionally, we examine how retention outcomes differ based on processes for screening employees in the hiring process. We also discuss the methods companies have in place to measure the success of recruitment and gather employee feedback to improve it.
