Summary
- A Kansas employer must grant an unpaid leave to any eligible employee who is a member of the Kansas (or other state) National Guard in order for the employee to attend drills or annual muster or to perform active service. See Kansas Military Leave.
- A Kansas employer is required to reinstate employees returning from state active duty in the Kansas Army National Guard, Kansas Air National Guard, Kansas state guard or other military force of Kansas or any other state, subject to the employee fulfilling certain obligations. See Reinstatement.
- An employer may not terminate or punish an employee for absences due to the employee's performance of military duty. See Prohibited Actions.
