Elected Official Leave Handbook Statement: Arkansas

Employees who are elected to a public office in the State of Arkansas or appointed to a board or commission by the Governor will be allowed a leave of absence if the office requires the employee to be absent from employment. This leave will be unpaid and must not exceed the duration of the term of office to which the employee has been elected or appointed.
