Emergency Responder Leave Handbook Statement: Maine

The Company will not terminate or otherwise discriminate against an employee who fails to report to work at the beginning of their regular working hours or is absent during regular working hours because the employee was responding to an emergency as a municipal firefighter, volunteer firefighter or emergency medical services person and who reported for work as soon as reasonably possible after being released from the emergency.
