The Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act of 1994 (USERRA) is a federal law that applies to all public and private sector employers regardless of their size or location. Under USERRA, employers must provide eligible employees with reemployment rights and benefits when the employee is absent from work because of service in the uniformed services.
