  • All Utah employers that are covered by the Utah Workers' Compensation Act are required to post the Utah Workers' Compensation Notice of Compliance Poster in the workplace. See Notice Requirements.
  • Utah has a mandatory, no-fault workers' compensation system. Almost all employers are required to carry workers'' compensation insurance, with few exceptions. See Covered Employers.
  • All employees are covered by workers' compensation, with few exceptions. See Covered Employees.
  • Any injury that occurs on the job is generally considered a compensable injury. See Compensable Injuries and Illnesses.
  • Employers may not be liable for certain injuries incurred under specific circumstances. See Employer Defenses to Workers' Compensation Claims.
  • Workers' compensation pays for medical benefits as well as partial wage replacement and other benefits. See Benefits.
  • Disputed claims may be resolved through a claims resolution procedure. See Claims Procedure.
  • An employer may not impede an employee's efforts to make a claim or receive workers' compensation benefits or retaliate against employee for claiming or attempting to claim benefits. See Retaliation and Discrimination.
