When to Use
With an increasing number of remote and hybrid employees, it is critical for employers to communicate the importance of safeguarding data and equipment while working remotely. Doing so will ensure that the employer's private and confidential data and information (e.g., trade secrets and proprietary information), as well as that of employees, customers and clients, is kept confidential and secure when they are off-site.
Employers can use this checklist to communicate data privacy and security policies to remote and hybrid employees and to train them on various related issues. Employers do not have to complete the following steps in sequential order to properly complete the checklist. This checklist is designed to be customized to fit a particular organization's needs.
