Content Updates Due to Supreme Court's DOMA Ruling

On June 26, 2013, the Supreme Court held that Section 3 of the Defense of Marriage Act, which denied federal benefits to same-sex couples, is unconstitutional. As a result of this decision, the following sections of the Employment Law Manual have been updated:
