Emergency Responder Leave Handbook Statement: Nevada

Employees may take time off from work to serve as volunteer firefighters or volunteer ambulance drivers or attendants. For purposes of this policy, a volunteer ambulance driver or attendant is one who provides those services on an ambulance owned or operated by a nonprofit organization that provides volunteer ambulance service in Nevada or a political subdivision of the state. Employees will not be terminated for requesting or taking time off in accordance with this policy.
