Family and Medical Leave Insurance Handbook Statement: Colorado

Colorado Family and Medical Leave Insurance (FAMLI) is a state-run paid family and medical leave program administered by the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment, Division of Family and Medical Leave Insurance (Division) that provides leave and partial wage replacement to eligible employees who are unable to work for certain qualifying reasons. The amount of FAMLI available to employees is calculated on an "application year" basis, which is defined as the 12-month period measured forward from the date an employee files an application for FAMLI benefits.
