Fire Protection District Trustee Leave Handbook Statement: Illinois

Employees who have been elected or appointed as a trustee of a fire protection district are allowed time off without pay to attend meetings of the board of trustees of the fire protection district, including the time required to travel to and from the meeting. Under no circumstances will employees be penalized or otherwise discriminated against because they request or take leave in accordance with this policy.
