Uniformed Services
In addition to the military leave rights set forth in the National Handbook, regular full- and part-time (i.e., nontemporary) Washington employees who are members of the uniformed services, including the United States armed forces, reserves, National Guard, commissioned corps of the Public Health Service, Coast Guard and any other category designated by the President in time of war or emergency, may take a military leave of absence for any of the following types of service:
