Family and Medical Leave Handbook Statement [50+ Employees]: Oregon
We recognize that employees may need to be absent from work for an extended period of time for reasons related to care for their child, bereavement, pregnancy or the placement of a foster child or adoption. Accordingly, the Company will grant time off to employees in accordance with the requirements of the federal Family and Medical Leave Act (Fed-FMLA) and the Oregon Family Leave Act (OFLA). The OFLA applies to employees who work in Oregon. If both the Fed-FMLA and the OFLA apply, the leave provided by each will count against the employee's entitlement under both laws and must be taken concurrently. An employee who is eligible for leave under only one of these laws will receive benefits in accordance with that law only.
